Ipoh is set to welcome a modern transportation hub, Ipoh Sentral, to be built behind the city’s iconic Ipoh Railway Station.

In 2022, CNN Travel named Ipoh on its list of “18 of Asia’s most underrated places”. In 2016, Lonely Planet, the world’s largest travel guide, named Ipoh the sixth best place to visit in 2017.
